Wealthy Affiliate Knows Google Likes Bad Looking Websites

On the Wealthy Affiliate Blog, recently Kyle (one of the owners) put up a really good post about why Google loves his “junk” websites.

It’s a great article, and I suggest you read it.

It reminds us that it isn’t worth spending all of our time trying to make our sites “pretty”, because the important part is the CONTENT on the website, not how pretty it is.

This is for multiple reasons…

First off, you want users to be able to find your website, right? Well, Google wants websites that have lots of content on it. Google could care less if your website was “pretty” or plain.

So if you want to be high in Google rankings so that others can easily find your site – it’s content that matters.

Plus, let’s face it. Once a user comes to your website…they don’t care if it’s plain or not.

They also care about the content on the website.

So the next time you’re spending hours trying to make your new website “just right” so it looks amazing…

Don’t worry so much. At least make sure you’re spending more time than that on the content itself!

While I’m on the subject of Wealthy Affiliate, I’d like to mention that I am a member, and think they’re really great…I’ve been with them for over a year now.

As you can see by their blog posts, they know what they’re talking about…and if you think the free content is great, just wait until you see what’s “behind the curtain”. That stuff is even more helpful.

For $39 a month, you get tons of training materials (on everything you could imagine), support from the whole site (including one-on-one with the owners Carson and Kyle), and some really cool tools that you can only get here. They even make it easy for you to make websites, do keyword research, and more.
